SAVE THE DATE: This year’s “Ladies Appreciation Dinner” will begin at 6 PM on Sunday, 16 April 2023 at the Black Pelican Seafood Company Greenbrier located at 1625 Ring Road, Chesapeake, VA (https://www.blackpelicangreenbrier.com/). As you may recall, this is the same restaurant where we held last year’s dinner, which received wonderful reviews from all attendees. Dinner attire is “smart casual”.
Brian Bialas is once again working with the Black Pelican manager to ensure everyone attending enjoys a memorable evening. We expect 34 – 40 people to attend, with all of us seated in a separate room reserved just for our use. The restaurant requires a firm ‘Guaranteed Guest Count’ at least 5 days prior to the event. Therefore, we need your firm RSVP by 9 April 2023. Please send RSVPs to Brian Bialas at “catbialas@cox.net”.
The menu includes eight (8) different entrée selections include salmon, pecan crusted mahi, ribeye, crab cakes, fried flounder with shrimp, blackened chicken breast and finally a full rack of BBQ Ribs, and are priced at $30.00 each, with a salad and assorted desserts available for an additional $5.00 each. Finally, a 12 % restaurant sales tax and 20% gratuity will be added to each dinner order. Dinner costs excluding any alcoholic beverages, will range between $40.00 and $53.00 per person.
In order to simplify the payment process, the restaurant requires payment on a single bill. While the council will pay for each of our lady guests’ dinner, excluding alcoholic beverages, in the week following dinner, we will collect individually from each brother for their portion of the total dinner bill. Although we will attempt to track your individual orders that evening, we ask that each attendee send an email to either GK Mike King michaelcking@icloud.com or DGK Dan Wood, dan.wood.va@gmail.com, detailing your dinner order to include any alcoholic drinks, salads or desserts.
Please mark your calendar and come out to honor our Ladies, who do so much for us individually and the council as a whole.
